Temperatures could reach 21 degrees, with even warmer weather forecast in parts of the east tomorrow.
Met Éireann’s forecasting highest temperatures of 16 or 17 degrees today with mostly moderate southeasterly winds, with the outlook for the weekend for mostly dry weather and good spells of sunshine.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather, says some places will be warmer than others, noting; “I think the highest temperatures will be further West so the further inland you go the warmer it will get, and then you know areas like Shannon into say Athenry and even a little bit further West into Galway will be the warmest spots but really it will be a sunny day everywhere just it will feel that bit cooler in the breeze especially along the East and South coast but a great, great day ahead”.
