“Everyone is shocked” by death of Kilkenny man John Fleming according to legendary horse trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon

A gentleman who loved life, a great horseman, everybody loved him, and a good family man as well.

That’s how Bagenalstown based horse trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon will remember the late John Fleming.

The Kilkenny man who ran a city accountancy, published the Irish Racing Yearbook and was a racehorse owner himself, died after being struck by a bus at Dublin Airport in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning.

His family ran the shop in Paulstown for many years and was well known to Mr Hanlon who paid tribute on The KCLR Daily;
