Preparations are continuing in Carlow ahead of this year’s Entente Florale finals.
A major town improvement programme is underway, including the refurbishment of roundabouts, new planting schemes, and public art projects.
Officials say the works are designed to showcase Carlow at its best as it welcomes visitors and judges later this year.
Progress is being made across a number of locations, with the Deerpark Road roundabout receiving particular praise for its distinctive deer-themed design.
Cllr. Fintan Phelan says the county is a great place to live.
Carlow is a gorgeous place to live and work. And we need to make sure that for visitors coming in and for people living in Carlow, we put our best foot forward.
“The council have been driving that agenda for the last number of years, whether it be in tree planting, whether it be in flowers, whether it be in the paint scheme that we have along Dublin street, where we, the council, engage with the businesses and painted the entire length of that street.” said Fintan.
“Look at the beauty of it now. And we need more of that right throughout the town.” he added.
