The Hurling for Cancer Research charity game takes place tonight at Netwatch Cullen Park, with all proceeds going towards the Irish Cancer Society.
The game throws in at 7.30pm, bringing together a host of GAA stars, celebrities and supporters for a special night of hurling, while KCLR will have coverage across our social media channels.
There is a strong local presence among the squads, with Kilkenny’s TJ Reid and Carlow’s Chris Nolan both involved.
Kilkenny legend Tommy Walsh is also part of the event and says it’s important for players to support causes that have touched so many people.
“All these great, great sports people, if you’re asked to do something, if you can at all, you get involved. Everyone has been touched and hurt by cancer over the years. So anything you can do to help with the research, you do it.”
