Gardaí are warning motorists to watch their speed in school zones following a number of speeding detections in Kilkenny during yesterday’s slow down day.
Divisional Roads Policing Inspector Paul Donohoe says 50km an hour limits are in place around schools to protect children, particularly during the busy back-to-school period.
Inspector Donohoe told KCLR News’ Martin Quilty that several drivers were detected speeding and face penalty points;
