The push to make a key road junction in Kilkenny safer will remain on the agenda for local councillors.

The N10 Waterford Road at Danesfort has proven problematic for many – it’s a busy stretch between the city and the M9, with roads off it, in opposite directions, to Callan and Bennettsbridge, also heavily populated with traffic.

Recently Minister Sean Canney was recently brought to the spot on a visit to the county as local representatives appealed to him to have issues addressed.

At the Callan Thomastown municipal district meeting Cllr Deirdre Cullen had more to say having had her own latest experience;
