Fifth arrest in relation to Urlingford post office robbery

A fifth person has now been arrested in connection with the robbery of the post office in Urlingford on Monday.

A male in his late teens is being detained at Kilkenny Garda Station this lunchtime – he was arrested shortly before 11 o clock this morning in the Irishtown area of the city.

Four other men, who were arrested shortly after the incident on Monday, were brought before a special sitting of Kilkenny district Court last night charged with Robbery.

Three of them were remanded in custody and are due before Cloverhill district court next Monday while the fourth was granted bail with certain conditions.
