An Bord Pleanala rejects plans for IT Carlow Car Park.

An Bord Pleanála has blocked plans for a new IT Carlow Car Park.

Carlow County Council gave the go-ahead for a 168 space car park at Bourlum Woods and Bourlum Court.

But the Bord has rejected the proposal after residents appealled the decision.

Local independent Councillor Walter Lacey says something needs to be done about the lack of parking at the Institute but this was not the place to do it in a mature residential estate.
