The ISPCA has confirmed that a further 42 animals were removed from a Carlow puppy farm yesterday afternoon.
A closure notice had been served on the premises in Myshall over a week ago on Thursday the 16th by Carlow County Council.
The Gardaí, the ISPCA and the council’s Veterinary Inspector last week rescued 324 dogs and a number of horses from the site.
This morning a spokesperson for the ISPCA confirmed to KCLR that a further 36 dogs and 6 horses were removed yesterday.
3 of the horses had to be euthanised on-site.
The scale of the rescue has been described by the animal charity as “unprecedented”.
