A call for immediate pay rises is on the agenda as the Garda Representative Association meets in Tullow this morning for its annual conference.
`
150 delegates representing 10 thousand frontline officers have arrived at the Mount Wolesely for the gathering which continues until tomorrow.
They’ll vote on 47 motions over the course of the next 2 days – some put forward by the local Kilkenny-Carlow division who want access to professional external counselling for officers who attend any incident of a traumatic nature.
They also want to see IT issues addressed calling for the PULSE system to be immediately implemented in all non-network Garda stations.
