Carlow county council support motion to reduce public transport costs for teenagers up to 18

Carlow County Councillors are calling on the Government to bring down the cost of public transport for those aged between 16 and 18.

A motion was passed at yesterday’s meeting calling for the reduced transport fares currently available to those under the age of 16 to be extended instead to include everyone under 18.

The motion was brought by Independent Councillor Walter Lacey who says it’s an issue that needs to be addressed.
