Kilkenny taxi driver welcomes CCTV Camera’s in their cabs

A local taxi driver says CCTV camera’s in their cabs is a good idea.

Derek Devoy from Kilkenny was speaking after the National Irish Taxi Association said this week that security cameras should be optional.

It followed an incident in Athlone last week when a taxi driver was stabbed and had to be taken to hospital.

Speaking to KCLR, Derek says camera’s in the cabs protects both the driver and the passenger.

And, he says he already has camera’s installed in his taxi.
