Calls to lower speed limits around Mooncoin being “ignored” according to Councillor

“We are being completely ignored”

So says South Kilkenny Councillor Pat Dunphy in relation to Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s refusal to meet with councillors about bringing the speed limit down in the Mooncoin area.

The current speed limit on the main Wateford to Limerick road is 80 kilometers an hour but according to Councillor Dunphy, this is highly dangerous for residents pulling out onto the road.

He says councillors’ attempts to get this on the TII’s agenda have fallen upon deaf ears.
