Ducksie Walsh was “one of Kilkenny’s greatest ever sports people” – the words of Kilkenny GAA Chairman Ned Quinn.
The champion of handball passed away yesterday after suffering a suspected stroke on his way home from a tournament at the weekend.

Since then, tributes have been paid by people all over Ireland – from those who trained with him to the Minister for Sport.
