A Carlow councillor has called for injection of funds in the Irish Post Office Network

A local councillor is calling for an injection of funds to support the post office network.

Will Patton tabled a motion at yesterdays plenary meeting of Carlow County Council asking that €15 be invested by the government annually to support the service.

Cllr. Patton told KCLR News that rural Ireland is been forgotton about and the post office is a necessity in many areas.

He spoke to KCLR News’ Martin Quilty.
