A new hotel looks set for Kilkenny, promising to bring a fresh wave of tourism and economic growth to the city.
The hotel will be situated in the heart of the historic Abbey Quarter, which has seen considerable revitalization over the past few years.
A 2023 survey by Fáilte Ireland revealed a projected shortfall of 400 to 600 hotel beds needed in Kilkenny by 2027 and it has long been the vision for such a facility on the grounds.
KCLR News spoke with Tony Lauhoff, Development Director for the Abbey Quarter, who provided the latest update on the project.
