A local man’s exceeded his fundraising targets after a gruelling marathon along the Barrow Way.
Dara O’Brien from Graiguenamanagh first began his journey at half-5 yesterday morning, travelling from Robertstown in Kildare to St Mullins in Carlow.
He was aiming to raise €5,000 in aid of two Autism support organisations, Saplings School in Goresbridge and the charity As-I-Am, but has already raised €300 more than hoped.
Dara explains why he chose to support Saplings; ”They’re a local school in Goresbridge, they do phenomenal work. They work with children who have complex needs and provide schooling right up until they’re18 years old.”
