Carlow Councillors have ratified the Fire and Emergency Plan for 2026 to 2030.
Chief Fire Officer Ben Woodhouse says the five-year strategy is a legal requirement under the Fire Services Act and sets out how fire and emergency services will be delivered across the county.
The plan covers fire stations, equipment, training, water supplies and emergency response procedures, while outlining key priorities and developments for the service over the next five years.
Chief Woodhouse spoke to KCLR News about the document.
