A significant amount of damage was done to a rear door of a house in Kilkenny last friday

An investigation is underway after criminal damage was done to a property in Kilkenny.

The resident of a house in Ashfield East on the old golf links road was upstairs last Friday when she heard a loud bang.

The owner came downstairs to discover a considerable amount of damage done to the frame of the rear door.

Garda Noelle Curran has more details:- “It’s a little bit of a strange one nobody seems to have entered the house but that damage was caused some way or another between 5:10pm and 5:35pm on Friday last somebody might have heard something or seen somebody hanging around uh if so just please contact Kilkenny Garth
