A status yellow rain warning issued for counties including Carlow and Kilkenny

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for 18 counties

The warning covers all of Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford.

The warning will come into effect at 4am and expire at 4am on Wednesday.

Drivers are been warned of potential localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.
