Another award for Cartoon Saloon

An Irish short film produced for Kilkennys Cartoon Saloon has won an award in France.

Somewhere Down The Line was produced by Jonathan Clarke for the local animation studio under the Frameworks Short Film scheme.

Last night it took Best Animation at the Clermont Ferrard Short Film Festival.

The film was made using a combination of 2D and 3D animation effects and music was supplied by Dublin-based collective 3epkano who have made a number of appearances in recent years at the Kilkenny Arts Festival.

Cartoon Saloon are of course looking forward to the Academy Awards in Hollywood later this month where they are nominated for Best Animated Feature for Song of the Sea.
