It looks like we could be in for another heatwave.
To qualify for that status Met Éireann says there must be at least five consecutive days where the maximum shaded air temperature exceeds 25 Degrees Celcius.
After a mixed start to the week, it appears we should climb into the mid-twenties.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says; “Plenty of sunshine in the South and the East, the North and the West will continue to see more cloud and some patchy drizzle but as we go through the week those sunny spells will extend to more areas and temperatures will begin to increase further, getting over 25 degrees for many parts of the country as we go through the week, with the South East possibly going to see another heatwave of five days above 25 Degrees”.
