Asthma sufferers in Kilkenny and Carlow not availing of free advice line
Nearly 15,000 locals have the condition
The Irish Asthma Society says the number of calls to their helpline is disproportionately low in Carlow and Kilkenny.
They say about 20% of children and 16% of adults in Carlow and Kilkenny have asthma.
Between the two counties that makes almost 15,000 people.
However, the CEO of the Society says not enough of these locals are availing of their free advice-line.
That number is 1800 44 54 64.
