Gardaí are investigating a possible connection between a spate of car incidents in Carlow.
All happened at points across the county in the early hours of Tuesday morning and involved two to three men.
Garda Lisa Mullins outlines something else that could link them, noting; “There’s a similar M.O., five or six cars were interfered with or entered in the early hours of the 9th of July between Graiguecullen, Rathvilly and Carlow, various witnesses have stated that a black car was seen in these areas at the time”.
It’s understood the first were between 3:30 and 4am as Garda Mullins adds; “Two of the incidents happened in the Graigue na hAbhainn area of Graiguecullen, there was three males observed in the area, faces covered, wearing dark clothing, various cars were entered and interfered with so we’re just appealing to anyone in Graiguecullen that might have seen any activity on that night”.
While she says another took place a little later that morning; “In Rathvilly in the Ard Bhile area around 5am in the morning, similar M.O., black car also seen leaving the area, two males, faces covered, dark clothing also”.
For any of the above Garda Mullins says; “So we’re just appealing to anyone that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or heard something or may have dashcam or CCTV, the smallest bit of information can help us rule people out or maybe identify the suspects involved”
