4 Carlow students are looking forward to a trip to Africa in July after winning a national debating competition last night.
The Transition years at Presentation de la Salle in Bagenalstown got the better of students from St Flannans in Ennis as they proposed a motion that the EU is Failing Africa in a debate organised by Concern.
As winners they will travel to Mozambique with their teacher this Summer.
Principal Gerry Watchorn says they did an incredible job representing themselves and the school.
