Ben Affleck ‘regrets’ excluding family link to slavery

Ben Affleck says he ‘regrets’ not including an ancestor who was a slave owner in a TV series documenting his family’s history.

The actor decided not to mention the relative in ‘Finding Your Roots’ – as it left a ‘bad taste in his mouth’ and he ‘was embarrassed’.

But, writing on his Facebook page, Affleck said he should have included it as the US is still ‘grappling with the legacy of slavery’.
