Fianna Fail TD Bobby Aylward has raised his concerns about the School Transport Scheme.
He’s questioned the government’s commitment to dealing with the issue – ahead of schools reopening in September.
Deputy Aylward says he’s received a number of phone calls from local concerned parents, who are trying to get their children a place on a school bus.
The local Dail Deputy says that opposition parties are still waiting for the establishment of a cross party forum to deal with school transport issues.
Speaking to KCLR news, Bobby says he was picked to sit on that committee but he hasn’t heard anything since.
