“There’s a lot more to be uncovered” in relation to finances at Templemore Garda College.

So says Carlow/Kilkenny TD, and Public Accounts Committee member, Bobby Aylward who was speaking after their report yesterday found “unacceptable” inaction on the part of the Garda Commissioner.

While some P-A-C members have been calling for Nóirin O’Sullivan to step aside, Deputy Aylward says he wouldn’t go that far.

He did, however, say he certainly has “diminished confidence” in her now and he says he’s sure this isn’t the last his committee will be hearing about Templemore as there are more questions to answer.

Deputy Bobby Aylward told KCLR News that he would also have his doubts about the Commissioner’s and other senior Gardaí’s ability to bring about change.
