Brian Hogan has been appointed as the new Kilkenny Under-20 hurling manager.
The seven-time All-Ireland winner takes over from former Kilkenny teammate Henry Shefflin, who has now stepped up to manage the county’s senior hurlers.
Hogan is currently in charge of O’Loughlin Gaels, having guided the club to the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship title in 2023.
Kilkenny GAA has confirmed that Hogan’s appointment will now go before County Board delegates for formal ratification.
The statement from Kilkenny GAA reads:
“Kilkenny GAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Hogan as manager of the Kilkenny U20 hurling team.
“Brian’s appointment will be brought before the County Board Delegates for ratification at the September County Board meeting.”
Hogan will now begin preparations for the next generation of Kilkenny hurlers, with his appointment marking the latest piece of the county’s new management structure following Shefflin’s move to the senior role.
