Carlow councillor Fergal Browne has expressed his happiness after being named Cathaoirleach of the newly elected Carlow County Council.
The Fine Gael councillor took up the role for the first time yesterday while Fianna Fail’s Pat Millea took up the role for Kilkenny County Council.
Speaking on The Way It Is on KCLR yesterday Fergal Browne said it is an exciting time for the local authorities in Carlow.
