Irish Water have just declared that 250 people on the Choill Rua supply in Paulstown can drink from the tap for the first time in seven months.
It’s the second one lifted locally in 24hours after a boil water notice affecting 35,000 people on two supplies in north Carlow was lifted yesterday evening.
That one was only in effect since last Thursday but the one in Paulstown was put in place last December after a problem was found in their scheme.
Irish Water’s Jim Fitzgerald says they’ve upgraded the treatment plant there now an all if safe again.
