A by-election candidate says the Health Minister has learned nothing from the death of Susie Long.
Conor MacLiam who is bidding to win a Dail seat for the Anti Austerity Alliance claims that Leo Varadkar is pushing people to get private health insurance rather than sorting out the public health system.
He’s the widower of Susie Long who was a public patient and died of cancer having waited 7 months for a diagnosis.
Conor says health insurance is unaffordable for a large percentage of the public.
