Are you in primary school or do you have primary school-aged children, nieces, nephews, or grandchildren?
If so, let them know about the KCLR Children’s Photography Competition, beginning Monday 16 September and running until Friday 18 October. This year’s theme is ‘The Beautiful Outdoors’ and we’re calling on all primary school children to get involved.
Taking part is simple – you can take up to three photos that you think best represent this year’s theme (think nature, the outdoors, parks, wildlife) and send your photos along with a description of each to KCLR Breakfast’s John Walsh before Friday 18 October.
Our judges will select 12 photos from all the entries that will be printed in a special 2025 KCLR charity calendar, with all proceeds from the calendar going to the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team.
With photography kits and other prizes up for grabs, now’s your chance to have your photo seen in homes and offices around Kilkenny and Carlow across 2025, all while supporting a great local cause.
