The President of IT Carlow is calling on the Government to invest more funding into the local college.
Dr Patricia Mulcahy made the statement at their graduation ceremony yesterday that seen 2,200 students get their papers.
She says the college has delivered huge growth through funding so far but they’ll need more money to meet the demands for the future.
There’s been a 45% increase in the number of students taking science, technology, engineering and math’s courses at the college.
Declan Doyle is Vice President of Research and Development at IT Carlow, he’s told KCLR news that they need to expand to cope with demand.
