Calls for planning inquiry in Carlow to be revisited

The Green Party are calling for a planning inquiry in Carlow to be revisited following the demolition of a building on Dublin street at the weekend.

The old Chesty Murray’s building was knocked unexpectedly at the weekend and it’s understood that no planning permission had been given for the works.

Green Party spokesperson for local government, and Kilkenny Councillor, Malcolm Noonan says this wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened in Carlow and other areas around the country.
