Cannabis bound for Carlow seized at Shannon Airport

Drugs bound for an address in Carlow has been intercepted at Shannon Airport.

The herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000  has been seized by revenue officers who uncovered 4.5 kilos of the drug last Friday, in a parcel labelled as ‘clothing’.

The package originated in Spain but was destined for a Carlow address.

Investigations are ongoing.
