Carlow Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen from a house in Leighlinbridge during a burglary this morning.
The Blue Hyundai ix20 was taken from a house on the Carlow Road between midnight and 7.30am after the burglars forced their way in through the front door and stole the keys.
A number of other items were also taken – some of which have since been recovered after being discarded by the thieves.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested in Carlow Town for drink driving in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Local Gardai were responding to a call about a suspected drunk driver.
The man was taken to the Station for processing and a file is being prepared for the District Officer.
