As Storm Agnes continues to bear down advice remains if you don’t need to travel, then stay at home.
Surface water’s building on a number of roads across Carlow and Kilkenny with debris forcing closures on some.
An ESB line’s down close to Lyrath Estate Hotel on the old Carlow Road in Kilkenny – Gardaí have closed the stretch between Cillin Hill and The Pike pub.
Gardaí say the Thomastown to Kiljames Road closed due to a fallen pole, same too for the Gowran to Thomastown Road.
While the Station Road in Thomastown is flooded but passable though care is needed.
There’s a tree down close to Dooley’s Service Station on the Ballyragget to Kilkenny Road which local authority crews are dealing with.
Trees too down on the Tower Road near Ballyrafton Wood making the route impassable.
Added to that there’s a large branch across the road close to the swimming pool in Bagenalstown, heading towards Leighlinbridge with traffic down to single lane.
