A record 104 matches will be played across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico, beginning at 8 o’clock Irish time tonight (Thursday, 11th June) with the first of the fixtures seeing Group A’s Mexico and South Africa do battle.
Analysis by Legacy Communications claims Carlow’s the seventh most world cup obsessed county based on online searches, with Kilkenny falling outside the top ten.
