There’s a busy day ahead in Carlow as the 35th Arts Festival gets underway in earnest today.

Theres a street carnival all day today on Dublin Street with live music, street art, food and theatrical performances.
The History Festival of Ireland runs alongside the Arts festival for the weekend too at Huntington Castle.
Alex Durdin Robertson from Huntington says they’ve lots planned there, including some high-profile guest speakers.
