The drinking water has been deemed safe again for 33,000 Carlow residents.
A boil water notice that’s been in place for the Tullow and Rathvilly public supplies since last Thursday has now been lifted.
In total, 35,000 people in Carlow Town, across North County Carlow and into neighbouring parts of Kildare and Wicklow were affected.
Irish Water has got a third clean test back on the water quality and the HSE has agreed to lift the boil water notice this afternoon (Wednesday).
