Carlow businesses advised to check they are paying correct commercial rates

Carlow Chamber of Commerce is advising local businesses to review their Proposed Valuation Certificates.

They’ll be receiving them over the coming days and theses certificates will determine their commercial rates liability from the 1st January next year.

If the valuation is not correct, the business could end up paying the wrong rates for up to 10 years or more.

Carlow Chamber CEO Brian O’ Farrell says if you are not happy with the valuation, you have 40 days to make representations to the valuations office.
