Carlow firefighters come out on top in World Rescue Challenge

A group of Carlow firefighters have beaten off competition from across the globe to win a first place at the World Rescue Challenge in France.

The local team were tops in the rapid scenario challenge at the event in La Rochelle.

The competition saw teams from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, France and Brazil compete in a series of challenge over the course of 4 days.
