Carlow firefighters taste success again in national contest

Carlow fire personnel were to the fore at a national competition over the weekend.

The team from Carlow County Fire & Resuce Service were tops in the Trauma element of the Extrication Challenge.

It saw them place in third overall in that part of the contest.

Sub Officer Paul Curran was also presented with a special award for a lifetime contribution to freeing those in difficulty.
