There will be a large increase in the number of speed camera van zones on our roads from next week.
From next week 355 more roads will have speed cameras operating on them, including roads across the two counties.
12 routes in Kilkenny, including National and Regional roads and the motorway will have additional cameras.
While in Carlow, 5 new regional and national roads will be monitored.
The roads were chosen because of a history of both serious and minor accidents.
The changes will come into effect at midnight next Friday.
You can find the locations of the new speed camera in Carlow and Kilkenny on the garda website.
These come as the gardaí prepare ‘national slow down day’ next Friday.
