A Carlow Kilkenny Senator is seeking a free travel scheme for survivors of domestic violence.
It’s Patricia Stephenson’s first bill to launch in the Seanad and comes as Amber Women’s Refuge, which serves Carlow and Kilkenny, reported a 50% increase in demand for their services in 2024 from individuals fleeing a domestic situation.
