IT Carlow RAG Week underway

IT Carlow RAG week celebrations are underway in Carlow town.

It will see students out in force around the town over the next five nights.

Organised by the Students union ‘Raise and Give’ week aims to raise funds for local charities and organisations, by bringing bands and DJ’s to various nightclubs in Carlow.

Previous years have seen some trouble in the town with arrests for public order and drunkenness.

Sergeant Catherine O’Gorman says Gardaí will be keeping a close eye on proceedings.
