Carlow Senator calling on government to extend rent certainty measures locally

Jennifer Murnane O’Connor is calling on the Government to extend rent certainty measures to Carlow and Kilkenny.

The Carlow-based Senator, who’s also Seanad spokesperson on housing, says rent caps need to be brought in nationwide.

Caps on rent were introduced to areas including Dublin, Naas and Newbridge last year, as prices continue to rise on accommodation across the country.

Senator Murnane O’Connor is now calling on Simon Coveney to re-evaluate the situation, and introduce these caps to Carlow and Kilkenny too.
