Carlow Senator calls for action from HSE as PNA ambulance personnell plan to strike

Calls are being made for the HSE to step up, as a group of ambulance drivers have announced they will go on strike before Christmas.

Ambulance personnell of the Psychiatric Nurses Association have been in an ongoing dispute with the health service over union recognition and membership.

They’ve been on an overtime ban for the last number of weeks.

Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor met with some of them yesterday evening.

Speaking to KCLR News, she says something has to be done and the HSE should try to engage a mediator.
