Carlow senior football championship knock stages decided

In Carlow and in the senior football championship last night:

Mt Leinster Rangers shocked champions Old Leighlin by 3-5 to 0-09 while Éire Óg beat Kildavin/Clonegal by 0-11 to 1-07 as both sides booked their place in the quarter finals.

The q-final pairings are

Éire Óg up against Rathvilly and Kildavin/Clonegal take on Palatine

Awaiting the winners are group winners Old Leighlin, Tinryland.

The relegation play off sees Mt leinster Rangers face Kilbride
